NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council Policy and Resources Committee will be held on Wednesday 6th September, 2023, Eccleshall Community Centre, after the meeting of the Planning Committee.

4. Budget update 2023/24
5. To consider preliminary planning for the budget and precept 2024/25
6. To receive any update to the Business Plan review

8. To receive the latest update from the Public Sector Deposit Fund

ECCLESHALL PARISH COUNCIL – POLICY AND RESOURCES COMMITTEE – Wednesday, September 6th 2023
A meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee was held on Wednesday, 7th June 2023, following the Planning committee meeting, at 8.10pm.

No members of the Public
Apologies were received from Cllr. Hill.
2). Election of Vice Chairman:-
Councillor R. Taylor requested nominations for the position of Vice-Chairman.
Cllr. Hall was duly nominated and elected.
3). Minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday June 7th 2023:-
The minutes, which had previously been noted by the Council, were agreed and signed.
4). Budget update 2023/24:
Prior to the meeting, the Clerk circulated an updated report detailing balances and expenditure to date against the budget.
This report was discussed and accepted by members.
5). To consider preliminary planning for the budget and precept 2024/25:
The Clerk will be approaching the respective committees to request their budgetary plans for the next financial year, to include in the draft budget which will be considered at the next meeting in December.
6). To receive any update to the Business Plan review:
It was noted that the Business Plan review will be key to informing the budget planning as discussed above. There is a meeting planned for the 26th September. The Clerk advised the update would need to be approved at the October Parish Council meeting in order to feed into the budget for next year.
7). Consideration of Grant Requests:
There were no grant requests to consider. It is expected that the ringfenced YEP grant will soon be requested, which will still leave grant money for other organisations to apply for. It was resolved to further publicise the scheme in order to encourage new applications.
8). To receive the latest update from the Public Sector Deposit Fund:-
The report was received by the committee.
9). Items for next meeting:-
Any items for the next meeting can be forwarded to the Clerk.
10). Date of next meeting:- Wednesday 6th December 2023, following the Enhancements committee meeting.
There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 8.20pm.
