You are summoned to attend a meeting of Eccleshall Parish Council, to be held at 7.45pm on Wednesday 17th July 2024 at Broughton Parish Rooms. This will be followed by a meeting of the Planning Committee.
COUNCIL AGENDA
1. To receive and note apologies for absence
2. Declarations of Interest and Councillor requests for dispensation relating to items on the agenda
3. Public Participation
4. To approve the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on June 19th 2024
5. To receive any reports from Borough and County Councillors and police representatives
6. Discussion with the headteacher at Bishops Lonsdale Academy, in relation to parking problems.
7. Committee Updates:
Traffic Management:
- To note the minutes of the meeting held on the 3rd July 2024
- To provide feedback from Cllr. Pert in relation to speeding concerns at Broughton and available options for resolution
Footpaths:
- Approval of costs to produce a Heritage walks booklet
Enhancements:
- Beech Road update, to include receipt of the procurement specification
Policy and Resources:
- To note the minutes of the meeting held on the 3rd July 2024
- To approve the recommended community grant allocation for Eccleshall First Responders
- To receive procedural feedback and consider the grant application from What’s On Eccleshall
Events:
- No updates to report
8. To provide any update with regards to phone mast enquiries and any further actions arising
9. To receive feedback from the Community Showcase and consider any changes to next year’s event
10. To approve the convening of the Annual Civic Service at a date to be agreed in October with the venue
11. To receive any feedback from councillors and LR Partnership in relation to the Eccleshall Festival and note the proposal to run the event in 2025
12. To receive the Clerks Report, containing liaison representative updates
- Update on opportunity to access funding for internal improvements to Eccleshall Community Centre
13. Correspondence
- There was no correspondence by the date the agenda was issued
14. To receive the Chairman’s Report
15. Financial Matters:
- To accept the Financial report and bank reconciliation to 30th June 2024.
- To approve accounts for payment July 2024
- Unity Bank:
- To sign an instruction letter for updating of the councillor email addresses
- To approve and sign the form to allow for cash withdrawal at NatWest for use in the Eccleshall Library petty cash system
16. To approve delegation to the Clerk for dealing with items of emergency and payment of accounts until the next Parish Council meeting in consultation with the Chairman and Vice Chairman, in line with the temporary delegations policy.
17. To request any future agenda items and confirm the date and venue for the next meeting of the Parish Council – September 18th, Eccleshall Community Centre, 7.30pm.
